Mandy has several years of experience as a marketing program management professional in the high tech industry. She brings her passion for working with people and organizing complex projects to The Swim Pro. Mandy, herself, had fear of water as an adult and learned to swim with the help of The Swim Pro’s From Fear to Freestyle program. Now she takes pride in being part of the same team that helped her overcome her challenges with water. Additionally, her two sons also learned to swim at The Swim Pro. As the Scheduling Director, Mandy is the go-to person for all things scheduling and getting started on your Learn to Swim journey with The Swim Pro.

Teaches From Fear to Freestyle and Adult Learn to Swim Lessons BY REQUEST ONLY Since 1994 Kelly has been teaching swimming to adults and children and has a reputation for being able to teach anyone to swim. A strong desire to teach the “unteachable” and a lot of faith led her to start The Swim Pro in 2006. Her background includes a degree in Psychology and Behavior Modification training, which she uses to help people conquer their fear of water. Kelly developed her own unique teaching method that has been proven 100% successful in taking non-swimming Adults and turning them into efficient swimmers. She has since certified many instructors in The Swim Pro’s From Fear to Freestyle method for teaching Adults, which has proven her belief that it is never too late to learn to swim!

Teaches From Fear to Freestyle and Adult Learn to Swim Lessons
Laura has been teaching adults at The Swim Pro since 2011. As an Instructor, Laura uses her 30 years of swimming experience and her degree in Psychology to help her students understand and conquer their fears. Her combined knowledge of the human mind, her mastery of The Swim Pro’s From Fear to Freestyle program and years of teaching hundreds of adults to swim makes Laura one of our top Adult Instructors! Over and over her students describe her as instrumental in helping them remove their barriers and finally learn to swim. As The Swim Pro Program Director, Laura also enjoys training all Instructors at The Swim Pro in our adult Learn to Swim and From Fear to Freestyle Programs.

Lead Instructor. Teaches From Fear to Freestyle, Adult Learn to Swim and all Children’s Lessons.
Sven returns to The Swim Pro with a lifetime of swimming experience along with 16 years of teaching experience. Having taught at several local swim schools, he has taken the best of many different approaches to teaching swimming and created his own unique method. Sven taught with The Swim Pro from 2015-2018 and has been very successful in helping clients reach their goals. During his time away, he taught swim lessons in Southern California. Sven has a passion for teaching children and adults skills that will keep them active and safe in the water. He ensures his students have a fun experience, while learning swimming practically and efficiently. Sven is described as very patient and encouraging by his students. Sven enjoys teaching all ages and stages, from Toddler Pre-Swim to Adults and has been trained in The Swim Pro’s From Fear to Freestyle and Adult Learn to Swim programs.

Teaches Adults, Children and Toddlers
Darcy brings over 6 years of teaching experience to The Swim Pro Team. In addition to teaching swimming, he has worked as a kindergarten after-school teacher and a behavior support professional in a residential facility for special needs children. Darcy passionately believes that anyone can become a swimmer regardless of physical or mental barriers, and creates a supportive learning space for individuals from all walks of life. These experiences and beliefs, along with his training in The Swim Pro’s Adult Learn to Swim Program, make Darcy a great choice for adult students as well. His patience in the water with his students has been thoroughly enjoyed by his students, as well as parents observing his teaching style.
Jonathan Weils

Jonathan Weils

Teaches Adults and Children
Jonathan has been swimming for his entire life, participating in swim team as well as coaching. He also competed in diving for 2 years, building a strong foundation in movement and technique. He joins The Swim Pro team with years of teaching clients to be safe in the water and to learn to swim. Fun facts about Jonathan is that when he is not in the pool, he runs track, cross country, and plays badminton.

Teaches Toddlers and Children
Olivia was taught to swim at an early age and grew up swimming, paddle boarding, and white water rafting. She loves working with children and has been the cabin leader for local science sleep away camps, which involves taking care of multiple 5th graders over the course of 5 days and helping them learn about their environment and how to preserve it. Olivia is excited to share her love of the water with her students and teach them how to enjoy water activities safely. Outside of swimming, she participates in local theatre, is an avid reader, and enjoys writing short stories.

Teaches Toddlers and Children
Natalie joins The Swim Pro team with years of swimming experience. As a child, she fell in love with the water swimming competitively. After graduating high school, she began doing what she loves to help others fall in love with swimming as well. She brings over 2 years of official teaching experience, assisting children and toddlers with water safety and swimming techniques. She currently attends San Jose State University, pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. When she is not in the water or the classroom, she likes to crochet and enjoys singing and dancing.

Teaches Toddlers and Children
Madison brings a deep love for the water and four years of teaching experience to The Swim Pro team. After overcoming a frightening childhood experience in the water, she became determined to master her skills, eventually competing for several years. This personal journey fueled her passion for teaching, where she now finds it incredibly rewarding to help clients achieve their goals and conquer their own fears. Specializing in working with neurodivergent clients, Madison’s background ensures a compassionate, well-rounded, and patient approach to instruction.

Elijah Gomez Tagle

Teaches Toddlers and Children
Elijah began swimming at a very young age and has always enjoyed being in and around the water. He has been teaching toddlers, children, teens, and adults since 2022 and uses his 5 years of competitive swim knowledge and 3 years of water polo experience to help his students be water safe and learn to swim. His fluency in Spanish adds to his impact as an instructor.
Aside from swimming, Elijah is attending Santa Clara University, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In his free time he enjoys exercising, thrifting, sewing, and painting. Elijah looks forward to helping as many people as he possibly can with progressing in their skill and comfort level in the water and reaching their goals.
